Do you sometimes feel like the world is against you? In episode 86, I talked to Dr. Fleet Maull who went from prison to a world-renowned expert in the field of mindfulness. He has had plenty of adversity in his life, and one of the themes that ran through this episode was the way that he did not let his adversity stop him.
One of my questions was, how did he keep going? I think a lot of it was due to his practice of meditation and mindfulness that helped him have a baseline and a way that he could cope with all of his trials.
We also talked about how you can overestimate what you can get done in a week, but underestimate what you can do in a year. And I think that’s so important as you are moving forward especially if you feel as though you’re not making progress, to be able to just keep pushing through, putting one step in front of the other and before it, you know it, you may have made big changes.
