In today’s Quick Fix Friday, we’re going to talk about how to start a mastermind group. In Jamie Turner’s Episode, he talked about how having a mastermind group can help your success as a business owner or anytime you’re looking to make a change.
Today I will dive into what I believe are the four essential steps to starting a great mastermind group.
Step 1: Pick the focus of your group. You want to make sure that everyone is on board with that goal and has a similar focus.
Step 2: Invite the right people. You want to balance the number of people in the group with the amount of time you are meeting to give everyone a chance to be heard. You also want to make sure that everyone is pretty much at the same level or brings a particular skill set that would benefit the other members in a certain way.
Step 3: Set the agenda and timing. Setting up an agenda ensures that everyone understands how the flow will go when you meet. You also need to set the meeting times so participants can commit to making those meetings.
Step 4: Set the ground rules. One basic rule for most mastermind groups is to have a cone of silence, where nothing leaves the group. That allows people to be more open and vulnerable so they can get the help they need.
A great mastermind can really change your business or change anything that you’re interested in doing.
